Gladstone Taylor
Debut: June 2015
Books: KingSun (2015)
Constantly in tune with the evolution of contemporary art and culture, Gladstone Taylor’s insights have proven beneficial to various entities local and foreign, including Backayard Magazine (for which he is managing editor), The FADER, Afropunk, RIDDIM Magazine, Digital B Records, Tribe, Sole DXB and Dynamic Africa.
Taylor put his journalistic gifts to noble use when he helped raise the public profile of Paint Jamaica, a graffiti-centered community project that has underscored a broader wave of visual arts in the island’s creative rebellion. His debut chapbook is a groundbreaking concoction of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, plus illustrations contributed by a few of the prodigies of Kingston’s street art scene.
